Imjingak Park
Imjingak, located 7 km from the Military Demarcation Line, is now at the forefront of tourism related to the Korean War. It was built in 1972 with the hope that someday unification would be possible. Three-storied Imjingak is surrounded by several monuments, Unification Park and North Korea Center.
400 kinds of photos and documents showing the stark reality of North Korea are displayed in the North Korea Center of Unification Board. Outside Imjingak, there are 12 kinds of tanks and crafts on display that were used during the war.
Mangbaedan Alter, which stands opposite of Imjingak, is famous for the place where people from North Korea visit and perform ancestral rites by bowing toward their hometown every New Year's Day and Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving). The Bridge of the Freedom, South Koreans crossed when they came back to their mother country from North Korea, stands behind Mangbaedan Alter.
In front of Imjingak is the Gyeongui Train Line which was destroyed during the Korean War in 1950. It has been under construction since 2000. Every year many events for unification are held at Imjingak. Imjingak is now one of the famous tourist spots for foreigners in Gyeonggi-do because it is possible to visit without going through any security check points

Dokgae Bridge
The northbound line of the railroad bridge of Gyeongui Line over Imjingang River has been left broken for nearly 70 years. The bridge used to connect Uncheon-ri, Munsan-eup and Nosong-ri, Jangdan-myeon of Paju but was destroyed by bombing during the Korean War. The bridge had been named after a village in Nosang-ri. Gyeongui Line Railroad started from Seoul and arrived at the final destination of Sinuiju adjacent to China. The railroad line was disconnected after the Korean War; as a result, South Korea lost the way to the continent, and North Korea lost the way to the Pacific.

Bunker Beat 131
A military underground bunker constructed during the Korean War has been changed into a unique exhibition space. You can feel the atmosphere of a military facility from the entrance. The shape of an anti-tank mine put on the stairs on the way down to the basement will make you feel frightened and nervous instantly. Walking down the stairway, you will see the situation room of the command during wartime. Military supplies used during the Korean War including firearm, canteen, helmet, and radio are on display. A helmet with many bullet holes will show you the bitterness of war.

Riding the Imjingak gondola, you can even see Camp Greaves, the filming location of the drama "Descendants of the Sun". This is the 506th Regiment where the main character of the American drama "Band of Brothers" and the main character of the World War II movie "Saving Private Ryan," were stationed in the country.

Odusan Unification Observatory
The Odusan Unification Observatory is located in Mt. Odu with superb scenic beauty where Han River meets Imjin River. This observatory is a stone building where has five floors above ground and one underground. It opened to the public 8 Sep. 1992. It is the DMZ with the shortest width among 155 mile of the ceasefire line and is 460m from North Korea. -
Amethyst or Ginseng Center
The colour of Amethyst is as unique as it is seductive, though in fact this gemstone of all gemstones is said to protect its wearer against seduction. Korean Amethyst is extravagance in violet since it has been formed from granite stone base since 5000 years. Moses described it as a symbol of the Spirit of God in the official robes of the High Priest of the Jews, and the Russian Empress Catherine the Great sent thousands of miners into the Urals to look for it. It was said to protect crops against tempests and locusts, bring good fortune in war and in the hunt, drive out evil spirits and inspire the intellect.

Imjingak Park
Imjingak, located 7 km from the Military Demarcation Line, is now at the forefront of tourism related to the Korean War. It was built in 1972 with the hope that someday unification would be possible. Three-storied Imjingak is surrounded by several monuments, Unification Park and North Korea Center.
400 kinds of photos and documents showing the stark reality of North Korea are displayed in the North Korea Center of Unification Board. Outside Imjingak, there are 12 kinds of tanks and crafts on display that were used during the war.
Mangbaedan Alter, which stands opposite of Imjingak, is famous for the place where people from North Korea visit and perform ancestral rites by bowing toward their hometown every New Year's Day and Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving). The Bridge of the Freedom, South Koreans crossed when they came back to their mother country from North Korea, stands behind Mangbaedan Alter.
In front of Imjingak is the Gyeongui Train Line which was destroyed during the Korean War in 1950. It has been under construction since 2000. Every year many events for unification are held at Imjingak. Imjingak is now one of the famous tourist spots for foreigners in Gyeonggi-do because it is possible to visit without going through any security check points

Dokgae Bridge
The northbound line of the railroad bridge of Gyeongui Line over Imjingang River has been left broken for nearly 70 years. The bridge used to connect Uncheon-ri, Munsan-eup and Nosong-ri, Jangdan-myeon of Paju but was destroyed by bombing during the Korean War. The bridge had been named after a village in Nosang-ri. Gyeongui Line Railroad started from Seoul and arrived at the final destination of Sinuiju adjacent to China. The railroad line was disconnected after the Korean War; as a result, South Korea lost the way to the continent, and North Korea lost the way to the Pacific.

Bunker Beat 131
A military underground bunker constructed during the Korean War has been changed into a unique exhibition space. You can feel the atmosphere of a military facility from the entrance. The shape of an anti-tank mine put on the stairs on the way down to the basement will make you feel frightened and nervous instantly. Walking down the stairway, you will see the situation room of the command during wartime. Military supplies used during the Korean War including firearm, canteen, helmet, and radio are on display. A helmet with many bullet holes will show you the bitterness of war.

Imjingak Gondola
Riding the Imjingak gondola, you can even see Camp Greaves, the filming location of the drama "Descendants of the Sun". This is the 506th Regiment where the main character of the American drama "Band of Brothers" and the main character of the World War II movie "Saving Private Ryan," were stationed in the country.

Odusan Unification Observatory
The Odusan Unification Observatory is located in Mt. Odu with superb scenic beauty where Han River meets Imjin River. This observatory is a stone building where has five floors above ground and one underground. It opened to the public 8 Sep. 1992. It is the DMZ with the shortest width among 155 mile of the ceasefire line and is 460m from North Korea.

It was said to protect crops against tempests and locusts, bring good fortune in war and in the hunt, drive out evil spirits and inspire the intellect.
